Talk on Services at Drupalcamp Stockholm 2009

Hugo Wetterberg - 12 november

I just held a presentation about services and my plans for services 3.x at Drupalcamp in Stockholm. Everything went well except that I was so nervous about running out of time that I teared through the presentation in 20 minutes. But here are the slides if you missed something.

Check out the english version over at slideshare too

Check out my previous blog post A future for Services - 3.x? for more in-depth information about my views on the future of services.

Good Old x TEDx

Björn Jeffery - 19 augusti

Before the summer, I had the privilege of being part of the first TEDx event in Sweden. I got a five minute slot to ramble about an idea I had, about the importance of 'connectivity' over 'proximity'.

Make sure you don't miss the other videos from the event either - a lot of inspiring stuff.

The future of internet consulting

Björn Jeffery - 28 maj

As a part of Moving Images blog relay, a few selected bloggers will be writing about future scenarios within their line of work. I’m taking over from PM Nilsson at Newsmill who wrote about the future of journalism yesterday. In contrast I thought I wouldn’t write about media for once, but about the line of work I’m actually in: internet consulting.

New blogs at Good Old

Björn Jeffery - 8 maj

My new colleague Jonas Carlsson has started a new blog here at Good Old. It’s in Swedish, but so interesting that all of you that don’t speak it should grab a language course. It’s called Good Old Think and takes up the business and sociological side of the web.

Same thing goes for my other colleague Ulrika who will be writing about how to reach people in the new blog Good Old Attention.

If you need to balance your reading up with something a bit more easy going, I’d like to also plug our new blog Being Tyler Brûlé. If you’re a Monocle, Fast Lane or ex-Wallpaper reader you’ll catch on pretty quick.

Some shameless selfpromotion

Björn Jeffery - 24 januari

It has nothing to do with anything, but I was very happy when I found out that I was one of Medievärlden´s seven "Media Profiles" for 2009. Below is a PDF with the picture and short interview that was featured in their January issue.

Let’s meet at Moving Images (or in SF)

Björn Jeffery - 9 maj

Just thought I'd give you a tip before the weekend. Moving Images is a conference in Malmö that takes place June the 10th. The theme for this year is storytelling and the line up is really good. Winston Binch from Crispin Porter + Bogusky is one of the speakers for instance.

We've have been part of the reference group for the conference which means wifi and backchannels, among other things. You should sign up straight away!

Working with what you’ve got - The Fokus.se story

Björn Jeffery - 5 november

At the end of last week we released the second part of our web project for the news magazine Fokus. It's a wiki with the 100 most powerful people in Sweden, to begin with. Also, we built in Twingly functionality which aggregates what bloggers say about each person.
